Fukuoka

Fukuoka is the product of the fusion of two cities in 1889, when the port city of Hakata and the former castle town of Fukuoka were united into one city called Fukuoka. Today, Hakata remains the name of one of Fukuoka's central districts.

From the beautiful greenery in Ohori Park and Uminonakamichi Park to the historical attractions at Shofukuji Temple and Fukuoka Castle Ruins, this city has an abundance of alluring views for you to fall in love with.

The city also boasts its mouthwatering food options from yatai (food stalls) to the famous Hakata Tonkotsu (pork) Ramen. You will not be able to resist eating your way through it!
